Pay and Benefits
Job Title: Assistant Front of House Manager
Shifts: 40 hours per week minimum, must work five (5) days minimum. Adherent to FOH Manager schedule.

AM must work 90 days before receiving PTO. 40 hours rollover max. Upon second year of employment, AM receives 80 hours of PTO annually.
Assistant Front of House Manager Job Description
Role
The Assistant Front of House Manager is responsible for assisting the Front of House Manager with supervising front of house personnel and operations to ensure the continuity of efficient, successful, high-quality service in-line with company values, culture, and expectations.All front of house staff report to the Assistant Front of House Manager, who reports to the Front of House Manager. The AM oversees aspects of both administration and service. The AM has restaurant responsibilities that must be completed weekly and monthly. Communication with the FOH manager is vital to the success of this role.
ASSISTANT MANAGER REQUIREMENTS
Experience and Knowledge
Assistant Management experience required(one year or longer working in a restaurant as an assistant manager or manager). High school diploma or GED required. ServSafe certification required. Additional requirements:

· Conflict resolution and advanced problem-solvingskills.
· Proven experience as an assistant manager.
· Ability to provideleadership and work effectively in a team environment.
· Ability to work daytime, weekend, and evening hours.
· Competency in FOH positions and job knowledge of those positions (bar, hosting, serving, etc.)
· Strong organizational skills.
· Competency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel)
Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager has two types of responsibilities: administrative and MOD. Administrative responsibilities are clerical duties like scheduling and assisting with job interviews, etc. MOD responsibilities pertain to active supervisory duties during the hours of operations, such as keeping the restaurant clean and inviting for guests.
Administrative Responsibilities
· Making the FOH schedule.
· Assist with weekly payroll.
· Taking disciplinary action (write-ups, addressing issues, communicating with FOH manager)
· Conducting interviews alongside the FOH manager.
· Assisting FOH Manager with onboarding.
· Assisting the FOH Manager with terminations.
· Screening FOH applications.
· Petty cash management.
· Sending relevant staff announcements.
· Keeping the office organized.
· Inputting invoice data.
· Assisting the FOH Manager with inventory.
MOD Responsibilities
· Ensuring opening, closing, and operational checklists are adhered to.
· Ensuring staff are adhering to company policies and values.
· Training FOH staff.
· Running checkouts.
· Touching tables.
· Assisting staff with “finger power” for discounts and comps.
· Assisting with general flow of service.
· Ensuring the business stays neat, clean, and inviting for guests.
· Constant communication with BOH regarding service and quality control issues.
· Making cuts proactively to ensure labor costs stay within margin.
· Conduct pre-shifts/relay important and timely updates to staff.
