'Administers electroencephalographs (EEG) including digital EEG’s, long term and ambulatory monitoring, evoked potentials (visual and auditory), somatosensory evoke potentials, measurement of nerve conduction velocities and electroconductive stimuli to patients of all ages.
Plans and administers medically prescribed neurodiagnostic modalities.
Associate’s degree from an American Medical Association approved school of electroencephalography preferred or demonstrate competency through prior experience, but at least High School diploma required. Computer literacy preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment. Professional EEG registry preferred, but not required at this time. Expectation is to work towards registry.
