What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Assistant position at NorMed?
Warehouse Assistant
Would you like to have a steady/consistent schedule, M-F, and not have to work evenings or weekends? And work with a company in the stable healthcare industry?
If you have a retail, food service, distribution, warehouse, shipping, receiving, quality control or logistics background, this might be the ideal position for you.
NorMed (www.normed.com) is a multi-channel distributor of first aid and other immediate care medical supplies and has been in business for nearly 50 years. We pride ourselves on quick shipping with 100% accuracy and virtually no backorders. We have a job opening for someone to help us keep that commitment to our customers.
Begin your career at NorMed being the point person to make sure that the customer receives exactly what they ordered. Initial responsibilities include pulling product, packing orders, and replenishing the shelves. Increase your responsibilities by learning other areas such as Shipping, Receiving, and Production.
Your learnings in these areas can lead to other advancement opportunities such as Quality Control, or maybe your expertise will lead you to other departments. We all work together in our Tukwila headquarters.
Below are a few comments, our employees tell us:
“Like the job. Treated good. Offers a lot. Look forward to coming in every day.”
“Able to learn something new. “
“Comfortable. No one hanging on your shoulders all the time. Do your work and go home. “
“The People! Can give ideas, flexibility, and understanding. This has been a good change for me. “
If you’re looking for stable work, a place where your co-workers and management treat you well, where you don’t feel like it’s your coach back in high school playing head games with you, and you actually like coming to work and being with your teammates, then maybe it’s time to walk away from those other terrible jobs in poorly run companies. In addition, we work M-F, 8:00-5:00, no evenings or weekends!
