Job Summary
The HRIS Manager is responsible for the overall development, implementation, upgrading and maintenance of all HR modules, interfaces, and day-to-day HRIS support activities. This position works closely with other HR leaders, HRCOEs, and IT to lead HR system implementations and enhancement projects. Ensures effective and efficient operations and alignment with company strategic and HR goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Performs full cycle of leadership responsibilities over HRIS personnel including workforce planning, sourcing/recruiting, onboarding, coaching, mentoring, developing, performance appraising, exiting, etc.
- Acts as lead in developing systems solutions for functional HR process requirements.
- Maintains Workday and other HRIS applications to ensure system security, continued operations, reporting efficiency, and data integrity.
- Provides leadership and actively pursues innovative initiatives and improvements in current processes and recommendations in the design, development of Workday and other HRIS applications to maximize productivity, efficiency and support company objectives.
- Leads the review, testing and implementation of system requirements, upgrades, patches, new reports, processes, etc.
- Develops, implements, and modifies system configuration, codes, tables.
- Keeps current in the future functionality of HRIS applications providing a strategic path for upgrades and changes.
- Identifies training needs of end users and train human resources department internal customers on system functionality, utilization, new processes, and procedures.
- Serves as the top-level Human Resources technical point of contact with outside vendors and other departments.
- Respond to technical administrative questions and ensure necessary follow up.
- Carries out leadership and management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and ensures compliance with applicable state and federal laws.
- Performs full cycle of leadership responsibilities including: workforce planning, sourcing/recruiting, onboarding, coaching/mentoring/developing/ performance appraising, etc.
Job Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in business, human resources, computer science, or related field. A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- A minimum of 10 years of HRIS experience, including at least 5 years of HRIS implementation exposure in mid- to large-sized multi-state organization.
- A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge and use of HRMS concepts, practices, procedures and supporting operations.
- Prior experience and application in change management.
- Project management skills with proven leadership experience in all phases of implementation lifecycle in HR systems projects.
- Human Resource Information Professional (HRIP) Certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively plan, organize and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality.
- Strong technical analytical/problem solving skills.
- Displays strategic thinking and good judgment when faced with complex or difficult situations and decisions.
- Intermediate Microsoft Suite computer skills required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to successfully manage tasks and activities across business lines as well as with external partners.
