Position Summary: Responsible for providing repair services to all production departments, expertise for the installation of special projects or DFT installations, and training for Maintenance Mechanic “B” and Maintenance Apprentice personnel.

Position Responsibilities:
Daily:
- Troubleshoot electrical problems on equipment controls.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic problems on equipment systems.
- Troubleshoot pneumatic problems on equipment systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems on production equipment.
- Maintain good housekeeping and safe work environment in shop and work areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned to maintain production efficiency and meet plant/department operational needs.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all production equipment.
- Install electrical conduit and pull wire for special projects under the direction of the licensed Electrician.
- Install piping for production gases and compressed air systems.
- Modify equipment, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems under the direction of an Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor or Facilities Manager.
- Work with outside contractors and technicians on special projects or problems.
- Use past practices, basic data tables, handbooks and technical references to determine sizes, capacity, dimensions and other working data.
- Repair forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Make repairs or modifications to the physical facilities using power and hand tools.
Position Qualifications
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Requires a minimum of five years of on-the-job experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment and either a completed apprenticeship (Journeyman status) in a recognized trade/craft or completion of a 2-year technical college program.
- Job requires the use of advanced trades mathematics together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, and handbook formulas; use of all varieties of precision measuring instruments, CNC equipment, multi-machine work stations, and computer software programs of a technical nature involving a thorough technical skills knowledge plus the application of basic theory.
