The VAS Quality Control Assembler performs a number of tasks in the assembly area supporting internal and external customer requirements. Tasks include but are not limited to repetitive and moderately complex rework, product testing, block coding and inspection processes. In general, the Quality Control Technician is responsible for unpacking and testing product, inspecting and performing rework when needed while reporting work status to VAS Supervisor. Primary Responsibilities:
Administers and operates the organization’s warehouses, including processing, packaging, and storage of supplies, materials and equipment
Uses verbal and written instruction for kit assembly, rework, testing, block code and inspection of product
Lifts, unpacks, tests, repacks and documents results
Provides support as requested by a Lead
Maintains cleanliness of assembly
Helps with unpacking and taping of boxes with products
Moves material with pallet jack or on cart
Supports safety initiatives and follows all safety guidelines
Pays close attention to detail to ensure the processes are done correctly
Must count parts and product accurately
Use a computer to perform testing/flashing of products
Handle test fixtures as directed
Communicates and reports work status to VAS Supervisor
Understand, support and execute all work in the established procedures, methods and working requirements
Implements and maintains department policies and standards
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must be familiar in working with electronic devices
Computer literacy required
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
Ability to read and comprehend procedures and work instructions
Strong attention to detail and written/verbal communication skills
Positive attitude, self-motivated and eager to succeed
