What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Manager - Riverton position at North American Properties?
We believe in engaging our community while we build our community. The role of Riverton’s Social Media Manager is a dynamic storyteller who will support and manage the property’s social media and digital marketing assets in collaboration with the Riverton PR & Marketing team. This role will be a part time position through 2022 with potential for extension into a full-time position for the right candidate. The position will be based at Riverton and will incorporate a combination of onsite & remote work.
Duties and Responsibilities
In order to perform daily duties and responsibilities, the Social Media Manager - Riverton must:
Execute on Riverton’s social media and digital strategy:
Social networks include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube
- Brand storytelling and execution
- Create content that is designed to cultivate, educate, and celebrate Riverton’s Progress, People, & Projects.
- Content strategy
- Assist in creating and implementing a content calendar to manage content, and plan specific timely campaigns
- Create and manage a regular publishing schedule that supports day to day progress in addition to amplifying PR efforts
- Visual Design and Digital Strategies
- Ensure messaging and selection of graphics, imagery, and multi-media is compelling and that it educates, entertains, and aligns with brand standards and compliments overall marketing plan(s)
- Engagement strategy
- Ensure Riverton is monitoring digital assets, listening, responding to and engaging audience(s)
- Community Engagement
- Maintain positive online community and reputation
- Support Riverton Team in-person at community and onsite events; gather content to support and tell the Riverton story
The ideal candidate must demonstrate:
- Exhibits the ability to balance the creative side of marketing with the analytical side
- Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and video format
- Exceeds at building and maintaining relationships with Project Team and community
- Advocates for the Project in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
- Ability to analyze performance and results and adjust accordingly
Qualifications and Requirements
A superstar Social Media Manager possesses the following skills and competencies to succeed and excel in this role:
- Previous Social Media Experience
- Graphic design skills or experience preferred
- Creative mindset

- Understands content strategy planning & execution
- Stays current on latest digital marketing, social media trends, and best practices
Physical Requirements:
Majority of work hours will be spent at Riverton in our development offices or onsite capturing content, along with, occasional set up, attendance and content capturing at offsite community sponsored events, candidate should be able to perform the following:
- Able to lift 35 pounds
- Standing, walking, bending throughout the workday
- Working outdoors up to 8 hours
- Ability to climb a ladder
Compensation and Benefits
This position may be eligible for a fringe benefit plan. Compensation for this position starts at $25-$30/ hr. depending on the qualifications of the candidate.
