Primary Purpose of Position
The Program Coordinator for the Center of Excellence for Integrative Health Disparities and Equity Research (CIHDER) provides consultation and program/project administration to the CIHDER leadership in executing the goals of the center, with a focus on the management and development of research and community outreach projects.
The Program Coordinator coordinates, develops, evaluate and manages community outreach programs. The position works closely with community partners to produce community health and education events. The Program Coordinator will specifically focus on creating, promoting, and producing new and innovative community health education events that enhance the engagement of poorly resourced populations in community health-related activities and studies.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit
North Carolina A&T State University is an 1890 land-grant doctoral research university dedicated to learning, discovery and community engagement. CIHDER is a research center housed in the Hairston College of Health and Human Sciences that focuses on all aspects of health disparities and health equity research. Health disparities and equity research is complex and multi-faceted.
CIHDER is focused on work to create relationship building activities, developing culturally sensitive engagement practices and research tools, and involving the diverse expertise of our NC A&T faculty, affiliate members, and community stakeholders to building sustainable and trusted relationships with minority ethnic groups and economically disadvantaged population who bear the burden of chronic and infectious disease.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or and equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
Master’s in Public Health degree, or an M.S. in Health Education or health sciences field.
Required License or Certification
