Job Posting for Transportation Specialist at North Dakota Mill & Elevator
Seeking Transportation Specialist to support the activities of the Transportation Department. Provide support in rail fleet management, common carrier coordination, and freight. Assist in general office duties, i.e. filing, data input, and phone answering. The Transportation Specialist is responsible for maintaining and updating tracing records. Receiving and auditing freight invoices. Assisting with rail fleet maintenance management, billing out rail cars. Downloading rail car movement data files. Monitoring rail freight pricing. Using desktop software and analyzing competitive position. Scheduling motor carriers order pick up. General office duties, i.e. filing, answer phones, and customer service duties. Seeking candidate with an Associate's degree, but preference given to a Bachelor's degree. Should have an outgoing personality, excellent communication skills, and strong customer relations skills. Must have good organizational skills, and an ability to work in a team environment focused on customer service.
