What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Sterile processing position at North Florida Surgery Center?
We are looking for a Sterile Processing Technician to join our medical-surgical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sterilizing and preparing medical instruments and equipment for use in the operating room, as well as ensuring that all instruments are in proper working order. The Sterile Processing Technician must have excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality assurance.
Responsibilities:
- Follow established procedures for decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, and assembly of medical instruments.
- Maintain accurate records of all sterilization processes.
- Inspect and test medical instruments to ensure proper functioning.
- Ensure that all equipment is properly stored and labeled.
- Assist with inventory control and ordering of supplies.
- Perform quality assurance checks on sterilized instruments.
