Medical Assistant
We are looking for a hardworking, dedicated, and energetic person to join our team at north shore Headache and Spine! Our office is brand new with state of the art equipment and technology. We provide a boutique and personalized experience for patients suffering from pain.
You will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support the Physician and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care, organization, and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality within a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Place patients in the exam rooms and document using the EMR.
- Competent in taking vital signs, and a gathering a HPI.
- Order laboratory services under the care of the Physician.
- Setting up and breaking down patient procedure rooms.
- Assistant the Physician with medical procedures.
- Prepare rooms after each patient and for specific procedures as needed.
- Assist with patient check in/out and maintain proper flow.
- Maintain an adequate supply of medical inventory in each exam room.
- Prep and clean rooms, set up for procedures and re-stock rooms.
- Ensure HIPAA guidelines are followed at all times.
- Perform administrative duties when needed; answering phones, scheduling appointments, etc.
Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask and prioritize.
- Knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.

Experience:
- Medical Assistant: 1 year (Preferred)

- Successful completion of Medical Assistant program at an accredited school OR 1-3 years of medical assistant experience.
