What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Team CBHC Clinician position at North Suffolk Mental Health Association?

North Suffolk's CBHC program is looking for Child Team Outpatient Clinicians to join our team!  The CBHC Outpatient Clinician provides assessment and direct clinical care for individuals served in the CBHC outpatient clinic.  

Full Time Salaries start at:

  • $62,000 (MA Clinician - unlicensed)
  • $70,000 (Independent Licensure)

What you'll do:

  • Provide direct outpatient services, incorporating evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches
  • Screen individuals seeking outpatient or diversionary services
  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments for outpatient clients and families
  • Receive regular individual supervision (towards licensure, if needed)
  • Be a vital member of a multidisciplinary team of social workers, counselors, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, recovery coaches, and administrators

Additional Details:

  • This position requires at least one (1) on-site weekend shift per month - Saturdays and/or Sundays from 9am-5pm and evening hours (until 8pm) on a rotation
  • Weekday remote hours and flexible schedules available.
  • Full and Part Time positions available!

What you’ll need:

  • Education/Skills: 
    • Master’s degree in Social Work/Counseling required.  
    • Valid independent clinical license (LICSW/LMHC) preferred
    • Fluency in Spanish is a plus!
  • Vaccination:
    • At least one shot of the COVID-19 vaccination is required prior to hire and complete the full vaccination schedule in the appropriate timeline as documented by the CDC requirements for vaccination.
