Job Description
The laborer will perform various physical tasks to support daily site operations Moab Uranium Mill Tailings Remedial Action (UMTRA) Project, at both the Moab and Crescent Junction sites. Assigned duties include loading and unloading materials, securing loads, decontamination, removing hazards, and inspections.
Qualifications
- Ability to qualify as a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Radiation Worker II and complete Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) worker qualification, and pass a HAZWOPER/respirator user medical exam.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. alone.
- Experience in work environments with exposure to all weather conditions and temperature extremes.
- Motivated and willing to work as part of a team and perform multiple job functions.
- Ability to read and comply with project direction contained in project-specific plans and procedures.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends, and night shifts, pending demand.
- Self-motivated, responsible, reliable, and willing to work in all weather conditions.
- Willingness to complete all required tasks at Moab and Crescent Junction site locations.
- Must have valid driver's license.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
