Primary Function: The primary purpose of this position is to manage the enterprise audiovisual, videoconferencing, and related systems and services at the College, as well as manage AV staff to maintain AV technology and support campus events. This position also includes some technology and AV support for the Monroe and Fowler Campus locations. Responsibilities: (1) Plans, budgets, researches, designs, specifies, implements, and supports the College’s audiovisual, videoconferencing, and instructional technology infrastructure; (2) Researches AV solutions and schedules installations, including those which must be coordinated with the college’s facilities department and outside integrators (3) Collaborates with Accounting for AV bid specification and review; (5) Collaborates with the Academic Technology Coordinator to support academic technology initiatives; (6) Oversees documentation and training material for AV equipment and ; (7) Coordinates with Event planners to plan, schedule, execute, and support AV event requirements; (8) Supervises and schedules part time and intern staff for AV support projects; (9) Oversees video production services; (10) Delivers and supports videoconferencing services (11) Build AV System configurations and perform regular firmware updates on AV hardware across all three campuses (12) Collaborate with Director of Client Services and Operations for project planning and coordination of equipment upgrade cycles. (13) Performs other duties and projects as assigned. Organizational Relationships: Position reports to the Director, Client Services and Operations Performance Standards: Performance in this position is considered to be satisfactory when: (1) mutually agreed upon objectives have been obtained within a specified time frame, (2) responsibilities of the position have been carried out at a level consistent with performance objectives, (3) effective and cooperative relationships exist with the other members of the, information technology services staff, as well as other members of the administrative team, faculty and other members of the College community. (4) Leadership competencies are exhibited in a manner that strives for excellence, such that positive team/employee relations are fostered and employee developmental needs are proactively addressed. Qualifications: (1) Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Instructional Technology and 4 years of related experience, as defined below, is required. (2) Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: (a) Knowledge and experience with audiovisual, videoconferencing, and instructional technology systems, trends, best practices, and applications; (b) Experience with instructional technology systems and services in higher education environment; (c) Supervisory experience; (d) Experience with developing documentation and other training materials; (e) Excellent customer service and communication skills; (f) Video and sound production experience; (g) Experience with video and web conferencing systems and support; (h) Experience with web and cloud-based systems and services. (i) General AV systems design knowledge/experience (j) Experience with Extron Electronics hardware installation and configuration strongly preferred. (k) AVIXA CTS Certification strongly preferred.
