What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner - Occupational Health (Part Time, Days) position at NorthBay?
At NorthBay Health the Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Occupational Health is required to function as a member of the multidisciplinary medical management team. The NP is a health care professional with advanced education and training in the care of the teen, adult and geriatric populations. The NP is responsible for providing care, assessment and medical management of patients/clients seen in the Occupational Health department. This is including but not limited to: physicals, DOT physicals, return to work exams, acute injury evaluation and treatment, workers comp new injury and follow up care and reporting (First Report, PR-2). The NP works under the supervision of the Occupational Health physician. The NP is also directed by standardized protocols and procedures. There is ongoing collaboration with the supervising physician(s) and/or Medical Director.
