This position will report to the Learning Coordinator of Health, and provide administrative support to the School of Health Sciences’ leadership team and faculty.
- Serve as receptionist to the area, which includes professional, effective communication and interaction with internal and external customers to answer questions, provide information and assistance, and respond to concerns in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Ability to maintain organization, prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
- Provide a wide variety of support functions including tabulating data in spreadsheets, creating and maintaining databases, formatting correspondence, report creation, and special project support.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare meeting agendas and materials, and take minutes as requested.
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and promoting special events and training such orientations, K-12 visits, etc.
- Work with NTC’s budget system to print out budget reports, complete budget forms, and write and process budget transfers.
- Accurately process faculty payments for classes.
- Coordinate leadership teams’ calendars and travel arrangements.
- Initiate and maintain office workflow and record management compatible with the other departments within the institution. Maintain student files as required by outside agencies.
- Serve as a communication link with leadership, faculty, outside agencies, and advisory committee members.
- Support smooth operation of classes by working with all departments at NTC.
- Identify confidential material and issues and exercise integrity in dealing with them.
- Maintain a current knowledge of organization procedures, policies, and practices.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the college’s mission, core beliefs and strategic direction.
- Maintain inventory and order office supplies as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
A minimum of two years’ post-secondary education appropriate to position responsibilities with at least four years’ related experience. Additional appropriate experience will be considered as an equivalent to two years’ post-secondary education.
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in oral, written and electronic communication skills
Demonstrate the ability to assume responsibility without direct supervision, exercise initiative and judgment and make decisions within the scope of authority.
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computer technologies, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Adobe, and PowerPoint and the ability to type 45 gwpm.
Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
