Job Description:
The Budback reports to the Retail Store Manager. The Budback is responsible for the upkeep of the Retail floor inventory. Budback is responsible for maintaining sufficient levels of product for sale for the adult use registers and order fulfillment registers. Budback is also responsible for maintaining compliance while handling and moving inventory locations. The Budback also has sufficient knowledge of the retail space, product masters in the POS, and ability to update and maintain an accurate menu in-store and online.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain the floor stock with available “ready for sale” products.
- Ability to understand placement within packaging room, rolling lockers, and vault for the purpose of sales floor restock / compliance measures.
- Prioritizes the flow of inventory in the packaging room / vault with a first in first out method (FIFO).
- Ability to follow directives as communicated by the Retail Store Manager, and the Assistant Store Managers.
- Ability to be flexible/adaptable as the sales floor and work day functions change directive.
- Understands the flow of product selling in high volume
- Communicates with PM / ASM about putting out new products.
- Maintains an accurate menu in-house and online with the use of POS product masters, integrations, and Adobe Illustrator.
- Knowledge and/or ability to perform Leaf Logix functions including inventory locations and transfers, correct editing of product masters, and printing appropriate product labels as needed.
- Basic working knowledge of product compliance measures in accordance with 935 CMR 500.000 (AU regulation). This includes appropriate labeling measures for products (flower, edible, vape, concentrate, topical, etc.), METRC tag placement with all items within the facility, and all compliance directives communicated from the PM and ICM.
- Ability to be cross-trained as a Budtender and Budtend as needed
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Full time position requiring a minimum of 32 hours a week.
- Full training of all new and current budbacks
- Ability to perform the following physical tasks: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying boxes.
- Open availability throughout the week as needed.
- Must be willing to commit to a monthly audit schedule.
- Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and METRC.
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
- Good organizational skills.
- Detail oriented, and good with numbers.
- Ability to follow written procedures, and monitor others for adherence to written procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior experience in highly regulated industry, quality control, and quality assurance.
- Over 21 with the ability to obtain a MA agent registration card.
- Completion of state seed-to-sale tracking (METRC) industry training.
- Ability to lift over 75 lbs, and pull 150 lbs.
- Outstanding and professional communication skills.
