General Duties:
Reporting to the President, this position is responsible for development of a sales and marketing plan for the Company’s external energy initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales and support implementation and utilization of utility rebate initiatives to enhance revenue growth
- Collaborate with Senior Management and Marketing to build go-to market capability on Energy Services & Solutions
- Coordinate with vendors & utility partners to have the needed products and solutions training for sales teams to properly identify potential customers for energy solutions and services
- Assist / Drive recommendations in the planning around stock support and promotion of selected key products and vendors
- Coordinate customer training events to inform and educate them on available solutions.
- Manage solar and renewable energy solutions, responsible for Solar P&L
- Support National Account strategy
- Build and Develop resources in Energy Group to establish specialists in design build lighting & control applications and assist in developing lighting application competency for the business unit
- Responsible to lead NorthEast’s sustainability program and reduction of CO2 footprint
Understanding of the following lighting products and application categories and how they relate to the energy initiative:
Lamps, Ballasts, Lighting Controls, Lighting Fixtures, LED Technology, solar & renewable energy
Familiarity with local State utility program incentives:
Rebate programs, Energy programs, Rates, Utility energy contact people
Qualifications:
1). 5 years of progressive advancement in a construction, electrical, lighting, utility or related field in a wholesale (B-to-B) business.
2). Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, required.
3). Familiar with LEED building standards specifically where the electrical product portfolio delivers impact.
4). Have a basic understanding of EPACT and other potential customer tax incentives.
5). Ability to work productively with a great deal of independence and autonomy.
6). Known for excellent verbal and written communication at all levels.
7). Demonstrated ability to develop strong collaborative relationships with Internal customers, external customers and vendor partners
