NGHS is currently seeking a Materials Distribution Specialist for our Supply Chain Logistics team in the Procedural Area in Gainesville.
Full Time: 7 p.m. - 7:30 am. (Friday-Sunday, other shifts as needed)
Department Overview
Job Summary: Following the direction and guidance from the department Lead, conducts the supply requisitioning, stocking and distribution of supplies for procedural departments using the most efficient and effective supply chain processes. Uses problem solving skills to manage supply PAR levels, discrepancies and backorder/substitute items in hospital procedural areas. Serves as the Supply Chain Liaison for key staff in procedural areas. Performs root cause analysis of supply shortages in collaboration with department Lead. Ensures supply orders are processed, received and stocked in procedural areas and available for medical procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Able to be trained and certified on the use of an electric pallet jack.
- Two years of healthcare supply experience in a hospital environment required.
- One year of healthcare supply experience in hospital procedural environment preferred.
Physical Demands
- Frequently lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs
- Constantly kneeling/stooping/bending
- Constantly standing/walking
- Constantly pushing/pulling
- Frequent intensive work, requires reading, writing, reasoning, & talking
