What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be:
This position supports the athletic department and student athletes by screening, preventing and treating injuries. This may include evaluating injuries, initiating treatment protocols and counseling athletes on rehabilitation expectations. This position coordinates the appropriate coverage for home athletic events working with athletic training contractors or Banner Health. The Head Athletic Trainer administers the drug screening program, insurance claims and coordinates student athlete physicals and screenings.

What We Require:
- Accredited Master's degree in one of the following areas: exercise science, health, physical education, recreation, wellness, or sports management
- Board Certification as an Athletic Trainer
- Demonstrated experience in effective communication with students and student athletes on a daily basis
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the mission of a comprehensive community college
- Demonstrated commitment to career and professional development
What We Can Offer:
This is a limited-contract of 242 days, .92FTE. Salary range $55,000-$60,000 commensurate with education and experience. Competitive fringe benefit package available through the SBCCOE.
