Job Description
The Department of Psychology & Counseling at Northeastern State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the M.S. in Counseling program. The M.S. in Counseling program is a CACREP accredited program with emphasis areas in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Addiction Counseling, and School Counseling. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach in a variety of counseling courses.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision and will be licensed or license-eligible as an LPC in the State of Oklahoma.
NSU offers courses on all three campuses including Tahlequah, Broken Arrow, and Muskogee. This position will be based on the Tahlequah campus with the candidate being willing and able to teach both in person and online classes. In addition to teaching, the position will involve student advisement, university service, and professional/scholarly contributions typically expected of a
tenure-track faculty member.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to teach core counseling courses (both didactic and clinical, including supervision of practica/internship). While the majority of courses are offered in a face-to-face format, all course delivery integrates technology. NSU seeks candidates with experience or who are willing to teach in blended and online formats when needed. Additional
opportunities to teach in the summer classes are available. Candidates are expected to maintain active membership and involvement with an appropriate counseling professional organization (i.e. ACA, ACES, etc.). In addition to teaching, the position will involve student advisement, university service, and professional/scholarly contributions typically expected of a faculty
member.

Annual salary $57,610 with excellent benefits.
