What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Northern Pier Bar & Grill?
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification to ensure customers are of legal drinking age
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately
- Monitor customer behavior and ensure responsible alcohol consumption
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Follow all health and safety regulations
Experience:
- Previous experience in a bartending role preferred
- Knowledge of retail math for handling cash transactions
- Familiarity with hospitality, food service, and the food industry
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic math skills for calculating drink prices and making change
- Understanding of brewing techniques and different types of beverages
- Experience in banquet or catering settings is a plus
- Knowledge of proper food handling procedures
