Job Posting for Assembler 1st Shift at Northern Staffing Services

1st shift straight 8 hour shift, 7a-3p. When busy you will work 10 hour days, 7a-5p.

$14.00 per hour starting wage. Williamsburg area.

We are looking for an Assembler to work 1st shift with automotive interior trim components. You will ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. You will use your hands to glue and staple parts together. You must have good manual dexterity and the ability to read instructions and follow them with precision is extremely important. The goal is to produce interior trim components by putting together smaller components. You may be asked to perform other job tasks on a daily bases.

Responsibilities

  • Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
  • Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process
  • Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications
  • Align material and put together parts to build units
  • Check output to ensure highest quality
  • Maintain equipment in good condition
  • Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts

Skills

  • Ability in using tools (e.g. clamps) and machines (e.g. presses)
  • Good understanding of quality control principles
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Good hand-eye coordination

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
