Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Information Systems Technical Analyst to join the Service Operations team. Experience with the Ansible Automation Platform required for this position.
This position will be virtual remote and can be performed anywhere within the continental United States.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Salary Range: $86,300 USD - $129,500 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Serves as an advisor to management and customers on technical solutions involving monitoring, reporting, and automation.
- Provides guidance and help as Team Lead to the Tools & Automation Team
- Works with management to develop long-range goals and objectives.
- Able to create and maintain Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Disaster Recovery plans for automation tools.
- Assist in developing automation solutions for network engineers, DB, application, and OS administrators.
- Can provide innovative solutions to extremely technical problems
- Can work multiple complex projects with minimal direction.
- Maintain and support Automation tools.
- Testing of data integrity and deployment strategies; troubleshooting and correcting server, client, and network configuration issues; analyzing vendor products and making recommendations to purchase hardware and software; and other functions as assigned.
- Work with customers to generate requirements for monitoring, reporting, and dashboarding solutions.
- Generate reports on operational problems, plans and progress.
- Interface with engineers, helpdesk support, project managers and customers as required. This shall include providing status on all non-recurring projects and infrastructure activities, ensuring that all formal processes and work instructions are followed appropriately, and that all customer requirements are met by all engineering designs and installations.
- Write or contribute to standard operating procedures and other documents.
- Occasionally work outside of normal business hours to support operational requirements is required. This is required for system maintenance, system outages, patching and upgrades of operational systems.
- Support Corporate and External Audit Requirements.
- Occasional travel is required at some point in the future
- Bachelors Degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR Masters Degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR Associates Degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma and 9 years of relevant experience
- Experience with the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Ansible Tower, or AWX
- Experience with other automation tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM
- Strong systems administration experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience developing advanced infrastructure, application, and cloud automations using Ansible playbooks, roles, and collections
- Experience with multiple cloud technologies, specifically AWS, Azure, Kubernetes
- Experience with a variety of scripting languages (Python, Bash, Powershell)
- Experience with Agile / SAFe methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to deploy and manage Ansible Automation Platform as a Kubernetes Operator
- Experience scripting in Bash, Python, PowerShell
- Experience deploying applications in Kubernetes, specifically Red Hat Openshift Container Platform
- Demonstrated ability to develop Ansible Execution Environment containers using ansible-builder, or other container development tools such as podman, or buildah
- Experience with ServiceNow and integrating with Ansible Automation Platform
- Demonstrated ability to manage git development flows and GitHub repositories via issue tracker, and pull requests
- Container registry management experience related to publishing, copying, and tagging container images
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
