Northrop Grumman Enterprise Services is seeking a Principal Windows Systems Administrator. The idea candidate will have a broad technical skill set and be driven to take on demanding challenges. This position will be located in Chandler, AZ.

Roles and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:
  • Perform as Principal Windows Systems Administrator for multiple networks in the classified environment.
  • Maintain compliant networks with up-to-date software, hardware, patching, updates, etc.
  • Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, and IT management.
  • Build, configure, and set up new environments, and decommission old network environments.
  • Maintain specialize computer equipment.
  • Analyze customer requirements and determine equipment and software solutions.
  • Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability.
  • Make recommendations to purchase hardware, software, and system components.
  • Perform upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution and configuration management.
  • Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions and security access lists.
  • Test new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
  • Develop and document technical processes and procedures.
  • Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines.
  • Maintain security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).
  • Report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts.
  • Works under minimal direction and independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Current DoD Secret security clearance is required on Day 1 of employment; maintaining the required clearance will be a condition of continued employment.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs as condition of continued employment.
  • Must have Security CE or equivalent as condition of continued employment.
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience or 9 years of related experience is lieu of degree.
  • Experience with Windows Administration and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting, installing, and configuring Desktops running Windows OS.
  • Experience managing Windows Server in a domain architecture.
  • Experience with designing Windows domain architectures, including but not limited to Active Directory, GPOs, Policies, and permissions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Nessus, Splunk, SCAP, NIST, system audits, vulnerability scanning, RMF.
  • Experience with SCCM and MECM.
  • Experience with Certification & Accreditation process.
  • Basic networking, including subnets, routing, and VLANs; Cisco experience and/or certification.
  • Linux Operating system experience.
  • Experience with Linux Administration.
  • Experience with NAS storage device administration.
  • CompTIA A , Network , Dell, HP, or other certification(s).
  • Experience with troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Experience supporting VMware VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure).
  • Background experience creating technical documentation, how-to's, and SOP's.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and people skills.
  • Excellent oral, written, email, and phone communications skills.
  • Self-starter with personal initiative, able to follow direction, good organizational skills.
  • Works well in a team environment; supportive, collaborative, cooperative, service oriented.
  • The ability to lift 40 pounds.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts and available to work overtime.
  • Must be able to work onsite full time.
  • Must be proactive with solving issues.
Salary Range: $82,000 - $123,000

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
