We are seeking a Maintenance worker for Graceland Memorial Park - South. This position is responsible for cleaning tasks in state rooms, chapels, restrooms, offices, and any other areas assigned by management. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and previous experience in a general labor.
Responsibilities
- Clean Funeral Home floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them
- Gather and empty trash
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms
- Clean laboratory equipment, such as glassware and metal instruments, using solvents, brushes, and rags
- Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks as needed
- Ensure cleaning schedules are followed
- Ensure comfort and care of customers
- Maintain water in each state room
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment
- Notify management of unsafe conditions or need for repairs
- Prioritize tasks so each family has a clean space
- Review service schedule daily
- Clean Chapel before and after each service
- Complete other duties as directed by Management
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school or equivalent education preferred
- 6 months experience preferred
- Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
