What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Northwest Environmental?
Duties:
- Record daily financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correctly
- Conduct reconciliation of accounts
- Perform partial checks of the posting process
- Enter data and maintain records
- Process customer payments
- Deposit checks
- Prepare financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data
- Supporting financial statement preparation
- Assist in processing accounts receivable/payable
- Assist in collecting past due invoices from customers as needed
- Assist in bill payments
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Strong analytical skills for financial analysis and reporting
- Knowledge of tax regulations and experience in tax preparation
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Note: A degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not required. Relevant work experience will also be considered.
