What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Assistant position at Northwest Iowa Counseling?
Mental health therapy office is currently seeking a part-time (16-20 hours/week) office assistant. We are a small, locally owned business and strive to create a positive work environment.
Hours would be within 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday-Thursday. Hours would be consistently set week to week.
Duties of Office Assistant Position
Maintain client confidence and protect client confidentiality.
Organize and collect correspondence and route to appropriate personnel.
Answer phones and convey messages to appropriate staff.
Maintain, record, and document client payments in the client database.
Track and verify insurance payments, resubmit denials, and maintain client financial/payment records.
Scan and file documents as needed into client chart
Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
High school dipoloma, GED, or equivalent
Experience with insurance, or billing is a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 20 per week
