What are the responsibilities and job description for the ACH CREDIT ANALYST position at Northwest?
The ACH Credit Analyst is responsible for spreading financial statements for customers using ACH, analyzing ACH reviews to assess the need for financial statements and spreads, and making decisions around the next step for the review. The Analyst will be the point of contact for Treasury Management Advisors who submit ACH reviews and coordinate with them on the correct documentation for ACH risk management.

- Spread, review, and analyze financial statements for ACH exposure
- Assist with annual and red flag reviews and make appropriate recommendations for ACH exposure levels
- Identify credit strengths, weaknesses, risks and mitigating factors
- Assist in determining the appropriate course of action for customers in the Underwriting queue of Nautilus
- Meet or exceed established service level expectations
- Maintain a working knowledge of macroeconomic issues in local markets and regional industries
- Ensure complete data and document integrity
- Ensure Northwest’s Credit Risk Policy is followed and report any adverse credit-related trends to upper management
- Identify and track loan and credit policy exceptions
- Assist in analyzing and monitoring risk level of ACH portfolio
- Ensure that correct due diligence is following for high risk ACH customers
- Maintain excellent working knowledge of all software including Signature, nCino, Nautilus, and any others as appropriate
- Monitor, develop, and suggest revisions to workflows and procedures as necessary to enhancing efficiency and minimize expenses
- Identify potential for credit losses and mitigating risk accordingly
- Evaluate and decision intraday ACH breaches as needed
- Coordinate with members of compliance, fraud, and operations groups as needed
- May assist with risk management for other treasury services such as remote deposit capture and wire transfer
- Ensure compliance with Northwest’s policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations
- Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency
- Work as part of a team

- Remain current on all banking rules and regulations relating to Credit Administration
- Remain current with compliance regulations and economic conditions as they relate to commercial lending
- Participate in special projects as required

Education
Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance preferred
Work Experience
3 - 5 years Years’ experience as a commercial lender, small business banker, portfolio manager, or credit analyst for higher grades preferred
Less than 1 year Some banking or accounting experience for lower grades preferred
