Responsible for managing, developing, and mentoring individual contributor BDRs. Plans and executes sales strategy within a defined segment and territory or area of expertise. Focused on inspiring, training, growing, and retaining personnel and enabling top line growth of the business.
Essential Duties:
- Motivate direct reports to achieve assigned quotas, increasing sales productivity and revenue growth
- Translate high level sales strategy into clear, actionable goals for direct reports; regularly communicate goals to direct reports and track performance against goals
- Monitor direct reports sales activity and pipeline activity, identifying opportunities to increase sales productivity
- Train direct reports on how to clearly communicate Notified’s value proposition to prospects and accounts
- Provide regular performance feedback, coaching, and mentorship
- Meet with direct reports to understand current capacity, day-to-day activities, and support needed to improve sales productivity
- Identify sales strategies and mobilize appropriate resources to increase revenue and accelerate sales cycles
- Coordinate pursuits and account insights with other team leaders in the sales organization
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of assigned segment and territory or area of expertise
- Recruit and hire staff; take proactive steps to retain existing staff
- Proactively identify obstacles for direct reports and recognize personnel problems
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, information technology, or a related field
Experience:
- 5 - 7 years in a sales role with customer interaction required
- 2 years managing a team of sales reps required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate direct reports
- Experience selling large, complex solutions
- Experience in sales management and business development with a highly successful track record in sales
- Track record of driving innovation, account development, and execution of new market and innovative solutions
- Results oriented individual able to drive priorities and own outcomes
- Proven ability to build and grow high level customer relationships
