The Senior Accountantris responsible for performing the accounting for center operations and general and administrative departments of the Company in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and ensuring compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures. This is not a remote role and will office in our Galleria Corporate Offices at Westheimer and Fountain View Drive. 77056
Responsibilities
- Full cycle accounting in a high- volume multi-site accounting setting, perform monthly accounting close processes including preparing and reviewing journal entries, variance analysis, reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Prepare accounting schedules for annual audit and provide general audit support including explanation of accounting entries.
- Produce detailed analysis and reports in a timely manner as requested by management.
- Integrate de novo and acquired businesses in financial systems and reports.
- Review accounting structure for opportunities to gain operational efficiencies.
- Document internal procedures and accounting controls.
- Serve as a reference for and maintain files of information frequently requested by management.
- Maintain and file annual personal property tax renditions for 65 physical locations.
Qualifications
- Team player with strong collaboration and cooperation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in high volume multi-site accounting is required.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Highly proficient in MS Excel with a working knowledge of Access, Word and PowerPoint including pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, formulas, and spreadsheet applications.
- Proven expertise with Financial Accounting Software packages is highly desirable. Prior experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes and data flow including accounting system databases.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent, is required.
EXPERIENCE
Accounting experience with at least 2 years of proven experience in accounting and financial statement reporting. Health care industry experience is preferred.
