Novamex markets an array of food and beverage brands in a variety of categories. Each brand is a leader in the Hispanic Industry and is well known to our Hispanic shoppers in the U.S. We are currently seeking a Sales Representative to join our growing team in the Santa Barbra, CA area.
Summary
Visits retail store locations established by Market Leader/District Sales Manager and informs customers of new or additional promotions and opportunities in order to increase product representation in location and increase sales; displays merchandise on sales floor of retail store to attract attention of prospective customers by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● Visits retail stores established by Supervisor and complete required forms on Repsly at each store.
● Presents current promotions to store personnel to generate additional sales.
● Effectively uses current Point of Sales (POS) material on all accounts.
● Presents all marketing promotions to accounts, store level buyers and/or grocery managers to secure retail space and secondary locations for maximum brand exposure.
● Manages and Supervise DSD Execution of Programs
● Responsible for check-in at the start of day in Repsly App and check out at every location visited. Check out at the end of the final store.
● Answer a corresponding survey at every location.
● Keep product rotated to ensure maximum shelf life
● Achieve new item distribution and trade promotion marketing goals assigned by Supervisor.
● Process sales orders from retailers and sent to the Distributor/Supplier chosen by store.
● Assist in merchandising cold boxes to schematic guidelines.
● Assist in merchandising permanent end caps to schematic guidelines.
● Originates display ideas or follows suggestions or schedules of Supervisor.
● Constructs or assembles prefabricated display properties from wood, fabric, glass, paper, and plastic.
● Arrange merchandise and backdrop according to prearranged plans.
● Place price and descriptive signs on backdrop, fixtures, merchandise, or floor. Ensures all products from the company have visible and clear prices for customers.
● Build and maintain a rapport with store level Buyers, Grocery Managers and Aisle Store Clerks.
● Reports all competitive activity such as pricing, market trends & market share to Supervisor
● Maintain distribution goals and display of products in assigned accounts.
● Rotate stock, clean and stock display and price merchandise as appropriate.
● Maintain a shelf full of product and keep Out Of Stock (OOS) to a minimum.
● Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
The candidate needs to be self-motivated, organized, and highly productive, with the ability to work well on a diverse and highly qualified team in a fast-paced work environment. Be effective in working as a member of a team within the sales department as well as with other personnel and other areas within Novamex.
Excellent customer service skills, analytical abilities as well verbal and written communication skills in English.

This job will require a lot of driving of a company vehicle; therefore, driving record must be acceptable. Education and Experience:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Certificates and Licenses:
Valid Driver’s License in State where working.
