We are seeking a Lab Technician to join our NanoFlu Formulation Department, who can fulfill job requirements listed below. This position is lab-based and will support Formulation scientists in day-to-day laboratory activities, including analytical testing of samples and buffer preparation and testing. The Lab Technician is also responsible for maintaining laboratory inventory and upkeep.
This position is lab-based will be located at our Gaithersburg, MD facility.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assists in the preparation and testing of buffers Performs testing of formulation samples such as SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, DLS, BCA, and MFI
- Maintains accurate and detailed records of experimental protocols and data in laboratory notebooks in accordance with company policy
- Maintains laboratory equipment and inventory levels for laboratory supplies
- Performs washing/decontamination of glassware and distributing to appropriate locations within the laboratory
- Assists in ordering, shipping, and receiving of supplies and samples
- Assists in equipment maintenance and upkeep
- Performs other related duties as required
Minimum requirements:
- Minimum of a high school diploma; 0 – 2 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical industry or laboratory operations is preferred
- Excellent organization and communications skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
