Recycling Project Lead

The Novelis North America (NNA) team is seeking a Project Lead, Recycling. The person in this role will report to the Director Recycling Strategy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining, developing, and leading efforts for recycling projects through strong cross functional team collaboration, using continuous improvement methodologies and sophisticated technologies to ensure North America metal procurement and recycling operations deliver the focused five results.
This role will partner with many stakeholder groups (Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, MMP, Quality, Safety, Tollers, Finance, etc) to deliver improved recycle content, recycling asset efficiency/optimization, and overall increased harmonies and efficiency throughout the North America network.
Responsibilities & Qualifications

- Lead and support multiple projects to enable NNA’s achievement of short- & long-term sustainability goals (reducing prime consumption/improving recycle content, automotive scrap alloy segregation, end of life scrap, etc)
- Lead regional expectations by developing effective collaboration and communications with internal partners to deliver on alignment and recycling asset optimization projects
- Lead the efforts of recycling department in various strategic capital initiatives, overall strategy for third party toller network along with qualification of key metal suppliers (i.e. sheet ingot suppliers)
- Demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of innovative technology in the aluminum industry and apply this to the development, execution and improvement of project activities including but not limited to growing scrap availability in North America (i.e. UBC, End of Life, etc)
- Build & maintain partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; resolving and carrying out vital project plans, supervising progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to adventurous demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities
- Meet challenging deadlines by efficiently leading project resources, achievement monitoring, tracking & managing project lifecycle. Enable timely resolution of conflicts, coordinate actions by crafting an accountable environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree in Engineering preferred
- 6 years’ experience in Aluminum industry
- Experience with Engineering; Supply Chain; Operations preferred
- Problem solving skills

Novelis’ Global Corporate Headquarters is located in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta Georgia and employs approximately 250 people.
