In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains. Our legacy Injectable Finished Products (IFP) facility in Clayton, NC is a 457,000 square foot aseptic "fill and finish" site that is responsible for producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. Position Purpose
Plan, develop & implement all DFP internal communication strategy to support business success. Coordinate with Corporate Communications on all external communications, as warranted. Collaborate with other NN communications professionals, as warranted. Develop & execute communication programs, coach & develop others to support communications & change management activities for successful implementation of projects, initiatives & strategy. Manage events/tours/visitors, as required.
Accountabilities
- Partner with DFP management & NN Communication partners to develop & implement communication plans according to business needs, including strategy comprehension, change management & organizational culture
- Communicate & drive activities that clarify the direction & importance of the site business strategy
- Collaborate & act as contact for corporate initiatives to raise awareness of business initiatives
- Develop communication strategy aligned with corporate, PS & DFP communication priorities & strategy
- Coach & develop leaders in effective communication strategies
- Develop tools & methods to reduce communication gaps between senior leadership & shop floor, including All Hands meetings, Leaders Forum, etc. Provide leaders with feedback & advise on communication plans, messaging & execution
- Execute on tactics supporting external communications & public affairs strategy in alignment with priorities of DFP management & Corporate Communications & Corporate Affairs
- Lead strategy for communication channel solutions (SharePoint, digital news, digital signage, digital workplace applications, etc.); support execution team with direction, troubleshooting & best practices
- Plan & execute processes, materials & meetings to establish local DFP strategy
- Update site targets & present status to DFP management team
- Organize the site business plan process & regular business reviews
- Prepare presentations for site CVP for lateral & elevated audiences
- Drive & support cross-organizational project management activities
- Develop editorial calendar for business-relevant news distribution; strategize purpose & use of regular newsletter distribution
- Develop policy & ensure compliance to local Visitor Policy in partnership with Facility Services
- Other accountabilities, as assigned
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in Organizational Communications, Public Relations, Organizational development, or related field, with a strong background in communications &/or change management, or an equivalent combination of education & experience. (MA/MS/MBA in similar field preferred.)
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in strategic planning & implementation of organizational communication activities listed above
- Advanced knowledge & experience with MS PowerPoint
- Proficient in MS SharePoint & other Microsoft applications
- Strong knowledge of business & communication challenges
- Demonstrated experience & excellence in coaching & meeting facilitation
- Outstanding written, verbal & public speaking communication skills

Physical & Other Requirements
- Occasionally moves equipment and/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions
- Constantly operates a computer & other office equipment using hands
- Able to travel domestically & internationally, up to 10% of the time
- Able to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction
- Able to work the hours necessary to support a 24/7 continuous manufacturing operation
- Able to adjust schedule to work with colleagues in other international time zones
