Our new Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) facility houses the Fermentation, Recovery and Purification in the production of ingredients for Novo Nordisk’s innovative oral products. Are you ready to help make what matters? Then, we are ready for you!
Position Purpose
Perform all aspects of the warehousing requirements for NNPILP regarding the DAPI-US Facility Warehouse, functioning as part of a high-performance work team. In addition to general warehousing, must be able to perform duties in the following areas: inventory control, receiving, shipping, loading/unloading trucks & on-site Box Truck Delivery. Must be able to maintain inventory records, rectify errors & prepare balance/shortage reports as required.
Accountabilities
- Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
- Inventory control of newly received supplies/materials, to include placing in locations & labelling
- Material requisitions & staging area replenishment
- Physical inventory, to include cycle counts & annual inventory counts
- Look-up & reorder of supplies (office, janitorial, maintenance repair operations & plant supplies)
- Load/unload trailers; identify damage & document errors
- Deliver/pickup packages & mail daily to/from Site Clayton locations
- System knowledge in SAP/Coupa preferred
- Daily inspections of warehouse, equipment, gowning rooms & mail room
- Maintain up to date training status
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write legibly & understand all department documentation
- Training or experience to demonstrate an understanding of the risks inherent to the processing, handling & storage of hazardous materials
- Minimum of two (2) years of warehouse experience, preferably in a GMP warehouse or pharmaceutical industry
- Basic math skills, including knowledge of metric system
- Valid driver’s license & ability to drive box truck for delivery/pickup of packages at all Site Clayton buildings
Desired Qualifications
- Functional knowledge of warehousing operations
- Computer competencies required; basic Microsoft knowledge (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint & Word); experience with a computerized inventory system such as SAP a plus. Good written & verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate manual & electric pallet jacks
- Proficiency in the following areas: Shipping (Package & MRO shipments, small package shipments globally); Receiving (all materials, office supplies, MRO supplies, non-controlled components); Material Storage; Inventory Control (cycle counts, reconciliation & internal audits of inventory control systems to ensure accuracy & reliability; Maintain monthly & annual files as needed to support cGMP’s; Removal/Disposal of expired materials; familiarity with SOP revision & assessment
- Good organizational skills. Ability to execute a work plan & adapt to changes in the schedule rapidly. Self-motivated & able to work with little direct supervision. Sets goals & schedules for daily activities
Physical & Other Requirements
- Occasionally moves equipment and/or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds within the facility
- Routinely operates & inspects manufacturing equipment using hands. Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time
- Constantly positions oneself to transfer materials within manufacturing environment. Frequently moves about building(s) to access other personnel & operational areas
- Ability to move throughout the facility to interact with people managers & employees in the normal office & manufacturing environment
- Corrected vision to 20/30 and/or ability to pass vision screening assessment necessary to procure motorized vehicle license
- Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to access service equipment. Works atop elevated positions at heights
- Occasionally required to secure a motorized vehicle license & operate a motorized vehicle
- Occasionally works around odorous and/or hazardous materials
- Occasionally performs critical job functions in extremely cold work environments. Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions
- Ability to work hours as needed to support production including on call, some evenings and/or weekends
- Occasionally positions oneself within confined spaces for inspection, repair & maintenance of equipment
- Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection
- Occasionally required to wear a respirator to perform job duties
- May be required to be clean shaven & to pass a medical clearance for respiratory protection use
