Our new Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) facility houses the Fermentation, Recovery and Purification in the production of ingredients for Novo Nordisk’s innovative oral products. Are you ready to help make what matters? Then, we are ready for you!
Position Purpose
Calibrate measuring equipment on schedule & in accordance with corporate & local requirements. Provide troubleshooting, problem solving & project support for measuring equipment site-wide.
Accountabilities
- Works in a safe & environmentally responsible way
- Calibrates & repairs instrumentation such as; temperature, pressure, conductivity, humidity, pH, TOC, flow, mass & frequency measuring equipment
- Accurately performs complex mathematical calculations relating to calibrations
- Accurately & legibly records all activities in appropriate documentation. Issues & Completes work orders as required
- Reviews documentation for accuracy & completeness
- Operates & handles calibration working standards with care & expertise in accordance with local requirements
- Attains & maintains required site operation & safety certifications. Maintains training qualifications on time
- Identifies & handles deviations and/or failures per proper procedures
- Supports cross-functional investigations & participates in systematic problems solving
- Provides support to process owners for measuring equipment
- Executes work according to schedule & department plan
- Evaluates measuring equipment performance & responds to potential issues
- Contributes to KPI reporting
- Contributes to process confirmations
- Other accountabilities as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in relevant field or equivalent military or industrial training which includes a thorough understanding of calibration, instrumentation & control systems
- Documents problems thoroughly & accurately & brings them rapidly to solution
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years of relevant metrology/calibration work experience or education
- Competence in the following areas: Calibration, Instrumentation & Controls, Electro-Mechanical systems & Electronics
- Calibration of process & utility instrumentation
- Experience using electronic calibration management systems such as SAP, Blue Mountain RAM, ProCal, MAXIMO, etc.
- Able to read & apply schematics, wiring diagrams & other technical documents
- Basic computer skills
- Demonstrates a high level of organization in task management
- Demonstrates logical planning for task execution & follow-up
- Demonstrates a systematic approach to problem solving & troubleshooting
Physical & Other Requirements
- Able to move equipment and/or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds within the facility
- Able to routinely operate & inspect manufacturing equipment using hands
- Able to be on your feet for up to a 12 hour shift
- Able to transfer materials within manufacturing environment. Frequently moves about the building to access other personnel & operational areas
- Corrected Vision to 20/30 &/or ability to pass vision screening assessment necessary to procure motorized vehicle license
- Able to ascend/descend a ladder to service equipment. Works atop elevated positions at heights
- Able to secure a motorized vehicle license & operate a motorized
- Able to work around odorous and/or hazardous materials
- Able to perform critical job functions in extremely cold work environments & work in outdoor weather conditions
- Able to work within confined spaces for inspection, repair & maintenance of equipment
- Able to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection
