What are the responsibilities and job description for the LMS Administrator position at NOVOCO?
Position Summary
The LMS Administrator is responsible for supporting Novogradac’s Internal Training Department in administering continuing education and training for the Firm’s employees. This position also assists the Training Department in administering training and education programs to customers and clients of the firm. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Training.
Your Contributions and Responsibilities
- Maintain Firm’s learning management system (LMS) and serve as the liaison between the training team and the third-party vendor.
- Create and maintain employee information within the LMS, including creation and disabling of accounts, name changes and updates to jurisdictions and licenses.
- Manage content within the LMS, including uploading content, setting due dates, and expiring/archiving content as necessary.
- Assign classes to onboarding employees, including mandatory courses and additional items as requested by management.
- Monitor compliance with required training activities for internal purposes, and report noncompliance to applicable departments.
- Issue continuing professional education (CPE) for internal courses, webinars, and conferences, and respond to service requests relating to CPE issuance.
- Assist with course creation using Lectora
- Assist with basic video editing and other tasks related to internal course creation.
Your Background and Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and follow-through skills, performing work accurately with strong attention to detail.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills, including solid skill in the Microsoft Office suite, data reporting and analysis. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point is preferred.
- Able to meet deadlines and effectively prioritize a fast -paced and varied workload, effectively manage a variety of concurrent and shifting priorities.
- Familiarity with online training software, e-learning programs, webinar hosting software, or any video editing programs (Camtasia, Adobe Premiere,) is strongly desired.
- Knowledge of or prior experience working with continuing education requirements for CPA renewals (or ability to learn) is preferred.
Your Qualifications
Bacehlors degree preferred plus at least 3 years of administrative experience, and/or appropriate balance of education and work experience. Prior experience working with a learning management system (LMS) is strongly preferred.
