Press Operator- C Shift

C Shift Schedule: Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Hours: 6 am- 6:15pm

Work 35.25 hrs. and get paid for 40 hrs.!

• Sets up and operates flexographic press to print designs or lettering on rolls of flexible paper and nonabsorbent stock by performing the following duties.
• Reads job order and mounts specified rubber plate and printing dies on cylinder, installs cylinder on shaft, and secures assembly in bed of press.
• Observes all policies GMP, OSHA, and company and customer regulations
• Moves levers to engage dye rolls, adjusting position of cylinder to print two or more colors without overlapping or smearing previously printed area
• Inserts shaft through core of paper or plastic roll and secures roll on press in feed position
• Splices end of roll to trailer sheet remaining in press and regulates roll tension and feed as directed
• Starts press adjusting speed tension, and alignment of printing plate as necessary.
• Cuts sample of printed material from end of printed roll and inspects for imperfections, such as blurred off center impressions.
• Cleans rubber plate, cylinder, and dye fonts and lubricates press as needed.
• Mixes inks or dyes to produce desired colors.

• Must be able to perform all functions of running the press.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Technical Trade School experience preferable.
• Must be a team player with a "can do" attitude.
• Should possess basic mechanical skills.
• Capable of working in hot environment and in areas where inks and lubricants are used.
• Must be capable of standing for long periods of time.
• Must be able to frequently lift and carry 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Must have good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Must have basic computer and math skills.
• Must be able to read basic English.
• Regularly required to stand, sit, move about facility, climb stairs, bend, twist, kneel, crouch or crawl, use hands and fingers to touch, handle, or feel objects, tools and controls, grasp, push, pull, reach with hands and arms, lift above shoulder level. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
