Job Description-Clinical & Research Manager, this position leads and coordinates the daily operations of the STI and clinical care teams including direct supervision of the front office and MA staff. This position serves as the key liaison to the State of Missouri Health Department and Lab services, managing all aspects of NOVUS Health STI program. In addition, this role will hold key duties in securing and managing clinical research projects and activities.
Reports to: NP Manager/CMO
Essential Job Functions:
- Coordinate and lead all efforts relating to STI & PrEP services, including directly managing/Supervising outcomes, reporting, and assessment. Ensuring compliance with Federal and State guidelines.
- Work closely with the Chief Medical Officer and NP Manager ensuring front office and clinical services are delivered in a timely, consistent, and patient-centered manner.
- In coordination with the Director of Clinical Quality Management develop quality measures and outcomes goals. Hold oversight and supervision directing and guiding staff to ensure the clinic addresses and meets outcome objectives.
- Develop and/or adapt clinical policies and procedures.
- Seek out opportunities for Research funding, working with CEO and CMO to ensure appropriate applications or made.
- Process and review time/payroll for MA’s and front office staff
- Oversee all clinical research opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned
- Provide direct patient care as needed, particularly when staffing is short.
- Support patients when concerns are issues arise, being the first line to address problems early.
- Ensure review and monitor patient outcomes and treatments to completion.
- Provide ongoing support to staff and patients as needed.
Management Duties:
- Serve as the supervisor for front office and MA staff.
- Oversee the STI daily management, including laboratory reporting and submission.
- Manage and oversee all clinical research opportunities.
- Ensure appropriate staffing for all clinical hours of operation.
- Assign task as needed and assist when need arises.
- Monitor and report progress on Expanded testing services with Washington University.
- Ensure staff receive training and educational opportunities.
Patient Services:
STI Clinical Services:
- Manage all aspects of the STI program.
- Serve as the lead contact to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services
- Promote services and provide education on specific topics through community outreach and patient/staff educational opportunities.
- Work closely with Director of Clinical Quality Management to ensure positive outcomes and treatment compliance and completion remains high.
- Ensure a system is in place to monitor all medication inventory including monthly reports from UCM. When needed lead efforts to transfer medication and maintain 0% spoilage.
Research:
- Seek out clinical research opportunities that are connected to funding.
- Oversee any clinical research projects obtained.
- Develop opportunities for research within in NOVUS clinical care programming.
- Coordinate efforts with internal and external partners on research opportunities.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor of Science in nursing and licensed in the State of Missouri. 3 or more years of experience in clinical and care with at least 1 year of supervisory duties. Prefer master’s degree with knowledge of EMR particularly eClinical.
