THIS POSITION IS FOR 1st SHIFT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Exhibit high awareness and follow all established Safety and Quality procedures.
• Overall management of Shading inventory including the dispersion cage, Shading staging area, and in-process consumable materials.
• Ability to spray and stock primed panels necessary for shading use.
• Ability to learn and follow limited test methods associated with production batch testing.
• Identifies off quality products during the QC process and report to the Shading Leadman.
• Tracking and reporting on all materials tested.
• Ability to successfully work with other departments on batch related issues (teamwork)
• Use of computer skills: SAP to manage shading inventory, enter results, and track batches. MS Excel and MS Word to summarize data and report to the Leadman.
• Ability to use a forklift and other lifting equipment.
• Ability to learn and safely use limited production processing equipment to make adjustments to batches with high accuracy.
• Maintains housekeeping in the lab and production areas.
• Maintains testing equipment.
• Ability to work shift assignment, overtime and flexible hours if necessary.
• Ensures compliance and active participation in all relevant safety and environmental programs
• Move waste from generation point to 90-day Storage Area
• Properly close and label waste containers using NB Coatings procedures
• Conduct routine hazardous waste inspections
• Minimize emissions and impact to environment by preventing spills
• Keep lids and covers closed on equipment and containers except when production, sampling, maintenance or inspection procedures require access.
• Perform any task requested of you by your supervisor to support meeting customer or departmental needs

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
The individual must be able to perform each essential job duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The following requirements are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities needed to perform the job at a fully acceptable level.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR CERTIFICATION

• High School Diploma and/or GED equivalency with two years relevant experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to wear a respirator.
• Knowledge of SAP, manufacturing database, AS400, MS Excel, MS Word.
• Good organizational skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure appropriate flow of information.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries.
• Effectively communicate between Plant, Labs, and Warehouse to meet customer needs and timing.
• Displays courtesy, tact and respect when dealing with others.

• Ability to meet strict deadlines using time management and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to successful completion

• Highly developed computer skills in Excel, Word and other office programs
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred

• Ability to work off shift hours in order to meet the needs of the business.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to frequently lift and/or move, push/pull up to 50 pounds. The employee is required to transport full and empty drums of raw material. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, the ability to focus, and the ability to see color. Must be able to successfully meet the physical demands of the role as specified in the detailed ergonomic study.

Employee experiences constant interruptions and inflexible deadlines. The noise-level in this environment is quiet to moderate. Duties are performed mostly indoors and at times outdoors.
