We are seeking a Regional Manager that will oversee approximately locations in Southern California as well as Arizona.
The candidate must live in or relocate to one of those parts of the country as their region consists of locations in this area.

The Regional Manager will successfully lead a diverse team of Area Managers to operational excellence and be responsible for the performance of an assigned region. The Regional Manager is responsible to drive revenue performance and manage expense as they lead their team to deliver a best-in-class self-storage experience for our highly valued customers.
Reports To: DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Duties and Responsibilities
- Hire, develop and retain top-talent multi-unit managers to lead districts in regional area of responsibility.
- Responsible for driving financial and metric performance in prescribed region and meeting operational revenue and expense budgets.
- Travel throughout assigned region to manage store performance and compliance to company standards and operating procedures.
- Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with direct reports and business partners to maximize operational performance.
- Collaborate with departments including, but not limited to, Human Resources, Accounting, Legal, Revenue Management, Marketing, Facilities and Operations Support in the achievement of company goals, objectives and initiatives.

Leadership: Regional Managers are expected to build, develop and train a diverse group of Area Managers through meaningful partnerships to drive operational performance in their assigned regions. Regional Managers will be expected to give effective feedback, provide coaching and mentoring, and implement performance management as needed. Analytical Skills: Regional Managers will be required to analyze various reports, data and information and translate the information into good coaching/mentoring activities and business decisions to improve operational performance.
Decision Making Skills: Regional Managers will be responsible for making sound decisions based on good analysis and supporting information.
Communication Skills: Regional Managers should be able to read, write and communicate clearly and concisely through various channels including in-person, email, and phone to maximize transparency and clarity while managing a geographically diverse region.
Adaptability: Our business is constantly evolving and it’s important that our leaders can pivot and adapt as the environment demands. Being able to help their teams navigate through strategic and tactical changes while championing new direction is a must.
Growth/Development: Regional Managers are leaders in our organization and are expected to grow and develop the skills necessary to stay relevant in our business and with their teams. Our RM’s are expected to take ownership of their teams and selves to constantly grow their functional skill set, industry knowledge and soft skills as our organization continues to grow.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand and walk. This position may be required to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.
Education and Experience
- Ability to partner with the leaders to deliver solutions that meet business needs through understanding the business, the broader operating context, and the needs of our teams to deliver an outstanding storage experience to our customers.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business or other related field is preferred but operational experience and past experience are more important.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Operations, Operations Support or other related job supporting large organizations.
- Experience in business and change management is preferred.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Three to five years of customer service or sales experience, multi-unit management, P&L experience, sales management
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and General Microsoft Office Applications
- Self‐storage software (Yardi, Sitelink) a plus
- Experience in self-storage, customer service or retail preferred
- Bilingual a plus
Travel: Regional Managers are expected to travel throughout their region approximately 50% of their time.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has direct reports.
