Requirements

• Experience creating drawings and models of building structures
• Experience creating drawings out of rough sketches
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, QCAD, or QGIS preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.

Job Tasks

• Produce drawings, using computer-assisted drafting systems (CAD) or GIS software
• Draft plans and detailed drawings for buildings that include rooms, walls, hallways, and doors working from sketches or notes.
• Analyze quality of source data used to replicate drawings.
• Draw maps, diagrams, and profiles, using cross-sections and surveys, to represent buildings, elevations, topographical contours, and structures.

• Computers and Electronics — Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
• English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
