Maintenance Mechanic

General Description: The Maintenance Mechanic will oversee the performance and maintenance of mechanical duties and large production machinery. Primary Duties: Always follow safety protocols and procedures. Troubleshoot and repair reported issues. Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment. Work effectively with other team members in a loud environment. Repair, install, adjust, or maintain mechanical equipment, overhead cranes, and machines. Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies. Maintain documentation as required for preventative maintenance program. Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with maintenance supervisor regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills: High level of value placed on performing duties safely. Ability to perform hard physical labor and work in difficult conditions. Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail. Works well independently and with others. Ability to operate forklift and overhead cranes. Strong mechanical knowledge. Strong understanding of electrical motors, contactors, transformers, and components. Strong understanding of hydraulic valves, pumps and cylinders. Strong desire to be accountable, dependable, and responsible. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing and walking. Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery. Must be able to visually inspect machines. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Experience: All certifications and equivalent work experience will be assessed.
