- This position is 100% remote. Candidates must reside in Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Florida, or Texas to be considered.
Overview
Our client is looking for a Claims Analyst to review claims-related data and reports – to include claims documentation that needs to be adjusted. They will be sorting, filtering, and distributing reports (for example, aging claims reports) to various internal teams to have the claims ultimately processed.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience in claims processing, billing, and/or coding – OR – High School diploma and 6 years of experience in claims processing, billing, and/or coding.
- 5 years of experience in healthcare / health insurance.
- Understanding of medical / coding (ICD 10, CPT, etc.) terminology to look at a claim and understand what it means.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel with experience entering data, sorting and filtering data, creating Pivot Tables, and creating basic formulas.
- Skilled in Microsoft Outlook with the ability to organize emails while working within a shared inbox.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience using LuminX to review and process claims.
- Experience working in a customer service position that required the review of healthcare claims data and reports.
- Experience using Adobe Pro or Adobe Reader to import images into Excel.
