Job Type: Contract
Expectation: Remote


Responsibilities:



  • Prepare all projects to release, including making final changes, pre-flighting, collecting, making PDFs and slices

  • Implement quality control - Consistently apply and enforce style/brand guidelines; Proof and review all work before releasing; Final check for flaws in the form and functionality of design; check the design for visual missteps

  • Retouch and manipulate images

  • Catalog and reference art for future projects

  • Digital Asset Management - Maintain, organize and update files on our file storage system

  • Work and partner with internal shared-publishing services such as proprietary platform, marKIT, and The Exchange (Digital Asset Manager), which are mediums to post files for Team Members, Hotels and third-party vendors

  • Work with vendors as needed when works get outsourced, to ensure clear communication and consistency in delivery of assets

  • Up to date with the latest software advancements

  • Assist in the onboarding and training of team members on production requirements, ways of working and file and asset management


What are we looking for?



  • The ability to discern a design choice from a mistake; A strong understanding of and demonstrated skills in the areas of layout, content design, type, color, and pre-press

  • Works quickly but accurately; Meticulous and goal-oriented with an eye for even the most minor details

  • Initiate solutions for strategic and tactical challenges; The ability to suggests improvements and recommend modified formats to increase the quality of the final product and standards are achieved within scope

  • Excellent communicators and inter-departmental collaborators; Skilled listeners able to execute a concept

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under stress and tight deadlines

  • The best production designers catch the typos, are concerned with resolutions, color and size accuracies, production values and know the difference between CMYK and RBG, spot color and process, a vector or a raster, and more.

  • Problem solver, strategic intellect, collaborative spirit

  • Ability to share knowledge with the rest of the team and also learn from and handle critiques

  • Anticipate issues before they occur and learn how to work through them

  • Foster effective relationships with peer teams and other departments

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Helpful and service-oriented by nature. You will step up to solve challenges and solve problems before others even notice them.


To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:



  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in either graphic design, print production, visual arts or equivalent work experience and portfolio that demonstrates clear knowledge of print production and design

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 5 years of experience in Graphic Design or Production

  • Application Skills: Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat)


It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:



  • Application Skills: Adobe AfterEffects; Cinema 4D

  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of web development languages like JavaScript and HTML

  • Years of Experience: 8 years of experience in Production

  • A strong portfolio showcasing advanced photo compositions and complex print pieces
