FINANCIAL ANALYST - SALES
Job Summary:
Responsible for analyzing and reporting on sales performance for multiple divisions.
Job Duties:
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to prepare sales and deal forecasts, identifying risks & opportunities and developing contingency plans to deliver budget commitments.
- Analyze performance variances vs. budget/forecast and underlying business trends
- Monitor sales performance activity and company trends.
- Prepare timely and insightful commentary on financial performance
- Partner with key stakeholders to understand results and recommend actions to improve performance
- Research and evaluate areas of opportunity by identifying market trends and recommending improvements.
- Generate queries using Excel and other tools to extract and transform data into meaningful insights to be used for forecasting, resource load projections, and performance tracking.
- Create weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales analyses.
- Collaborate with Sales leadership to aid in decision making.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
- 2 years in an analysis capacity handling large data experience preferred.
Competencies/ Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills.
- Ability to summarize financial data clearly and concisely to enable speed and quality of decision making
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and make meaningful contributions to finance/business objectives
- Data reporting knowledge preferred.
- CRM experience preferred. NetSuite experience a plus.
- Must be a self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical and communications skills.
