We are currently seeking a Information Security Specialist to join our team in Herndon, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

• Works with engineering teams to define and refine information security and systems management policies and settings.
• Evaluates new and emerging products, technologies and make recommendations to leadership concerning introduction of new technologies.
• Provides information security support for a region or broad functional areas.
• Leads or provides direction for information security projects.
• Provides complex analysis of potential risk to information security and recommends innovative solutions.
• Recommends and implements changes to procedures and systems to enhance information systems security.
• Integrates network security controls into an environment to identify risks and reduce their impact.
• Acts as project leader on projects of short to moderate duration.
• Helps define information security strategies and procedures.

• Public Trust clearance/MBI and favorable Background Check
• Undergraduate/bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Minimum 4 years of experience providing information security support for a region or broad functional areas
• Minimum 4 years of experience providing complex analysis of potential risk to information security and recommending innovative solutions
• Minimum 4 years of experience recommending and implementing changes to procedures and systems to enhance information systems security
• Minimum 4 years of experience integrating network security controls into an environment to identify risks and reduce their impact
