We are currently seeking talented and motivated Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for a Remote Full-Time position. 

Description:

• The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Software Development Specialist manages projects with oversight from his/her supervisor, understands own area, is able to perform all facets of the role, and has experience in most issues that may arise, although requires guidance with assignments that are new or outside normal scope of work.
• Provides application design and documentation that spans multiple applications and/or functions.
• Participates in and may lead complex projects with significant impact on IT and/ or business. Mentors less experienced team members.
• Works with technical staff and business to understand problems with software and assists to resolve them.
• Prioritizes own work regarding the development, coding, testing, and debugging of new software or enhancements to existing software.

Required Skills

• Applied in-depth knowledge of one or
• more programming languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, PL/SQL.
• Substantive knowledge of coding, testing and debugging.
• Proven ability to apply programming languages to develop solutions to business needs.
• Competent to work in all phases
• of applications programming and design.
• Consistently applies fundamental knowledge
• of programming languages for design specifications.
• Knowledge and/or experience with ESRl's GIS tool set (ArcMap, ArcGIS-Pro, Portal, ArcGIS Server).
• Knowledge and/or experience with relational database development (Oracle).
• Knowledge and/or experience with web-based maps/applications and basic cartographic principles.
