What are the responsibilities and job description for the SR MGR BIZ PROD DEVELOP position at NuCO2?

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures and state and federal applicable laws. 
  • Performs interviewing, hiring, training, developing, rewarding of performance, motivation, and counseling of employees.  
  • Collaborate and communicate on a regular basis with management and staff to ensure company policies are disseminated and complied with.
  • Work with all subordinates within the department a minimum of once per quarter and conduct evaluations in the areas of performance, policy adherence, and safety compliance.
  • Conduct 1-1 meetings with each team member on a determined cadence to ensure performance goals are achieved and implement performance management as needed.
  • Implement action plans to address short term issues or opportunities.
  • Direct investigations into causes of customer or employee complaints, accident/incident reports, and responds accordingly.
  • Maintain effective business relationships with key accounts and cross-functional partners aligned with the Business Development Department.
  • Review employees’ budget, vacation and sick/personal time usage. 
  • Lead the organization’s business development process to identify and commercialize new products and services.
  • Manage all phases of product development projects.
  • Develop appropriate business case for proposed products / services utilizing cross-departmental collaboration from Legal, Safety and Regulatory, Finance, Supply Chain, Sales and Service, Operations, IT, and Human Resources.
  • Assist with developing training curriculum for all new products and services.
  • Continuously review and optimize the organization’s business development process with input from all departments.
  • Perform other similar duties as required by management.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Directly supervising a business development team.
  • Adhering to and enforcing the organization’s policies, procedures and Federal/State applicable laws.   
  • Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training employees for department.
  • Planning, assigning, and directing work of subordinates.
  • Appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees.
  • Addressing employees’ concerns, complaints, and resolving those concerns. 

 

 QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Effectively write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers and customers.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Creative and skilled leader with experience in product development, preferably in the foodservice or hospitality industry. 
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a high level of ambiguity.
  • Ability to lead projects involving multiple departments across the organization.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel locally from a home-office base.
  • Proficient computer skills.  MS office – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

 

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

  • Associates Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  •  Project management experience required.
  • Business / Product Development experience required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
  • Agile knowledge is preferred

INTERACTION:
  • Will interact with all levels of the NuCO2 organization as well as external customers.
